The day when I can breathe has come

After so much searching, after so much suffering and after so much patience, the day has come.

The day when I can say that I finished my studies, when I can say that I have something more than the high school studies, the day when I can say also that I am starting working, working in the field of my studies and in the field I feel so motivated.

After spending in Poland 2 weeks and a half (From February 17 until March 5) sitting 3 job interviews (Feb 17-Mobica.pl in Warsaw, Feb 19-Motorola technical panel in Krakow, March 2- Motorola HR Krakow) and to attend a day with Nokia Siemens Networks in Wroclaw (On Feb 25), on Monday the 8th I received a call from Motorola Krakow, telling me that they want me to work for them and to start working on March 16. I was quite excited, since looking for a job was starting to be quite stressful and everything but easy.

After the conversation I realized that I would not be easy to start on that day since I had to defend my thesis in Spain and the procedure was not one day long.
So the next date that the girl told me was 7th of April. A perfect date to have time for defending the thesis, to see some friends, to see and tell the family and to spend some time with my lovely family.

So that was it, I arranged the defense for Thursday 18 March, 2010, having it at 9:00am.
One of the members of the jury was late and it was carried out with only two of them.
Anyway, and after not so much preparation I did not exceed the time (around 20 mins) and they gave me a higher mark than expected (9 out of 10), so I was more than happy after that, feeling that I was done with studies, that I achieved something big that day and all the previous work done was really really worth it.
Here you can have a look to a picture taken after the defense with the great groups of friends who came to see me at 9:00am defending my thesis:

I really thank them to come, you were so brave guys!! :)

About the job offer, my father was, actually, astonished and very happy for the first step I am taking in my professional career. He was so afraid of me taking a job with not good conditions and not appropriate for me. Now, he really breathes and feels the relief.
On the other hand, my mother always feels that her son is leaving home, now for good, and she was wishing to have me living at home until I don't know when...
Don't worry mom! I'll be always available when needed! ;)

My little 10 years old sister is in a similar situation, she wishes me luck with my new stage and hopes to see me soon in Krakow! (She starts very soon thinking of traveling :) )

True, I have to say goodbye to family and friends again. But a new exciting stage in life has come, a new door has been opened and I cannot miss this train, because it is sure that it comes only once...

For everyone that is reading me, please keep in mind that I am living in Krakow from April the 7th on, so if you need something or you are thinking of passing by, please let me know. You know where to find me!

A big hug for everyone and thanks for reading.
